Props, props, charity shops…

July 26, 2011 § Leave a comment

if there is one thing i have learned whilst studying photography, its that what props you use in a picture can turn something dull and lifeless into a stunning image. so i have been doing a lot of routing in old thrift stores, vintage stores, and charity shops, i suggest doing this if you have some spare time, because i have picked up some fantastic props for my work, from normal furniture, to the down right bizarre!! i found a gas mask in one of the shops i was looking around, and it instantly gave me the idea for a quick shoot focusing on an important point for me, the environment, i might carry on working with this idea, but for now i think i will put to the side as i am still putting all my attention on the “Exposures on life” series – Peace!! 🙂
